For what is't worth, been down the same road. Bought second hand remote and from e-bay, phoned the dealer the remotes are supplied blank from the factory and are coded to the car, once done it cannot be changed (locked in), do not buy a second hand remote. Hope it saves you some money...

Hi guys, don't want to get in the midddle of a good relationship! What the F**k cures the problem, as my P28 2.5 DSE is recording 20mpg with the timed relay set up, although it goes like stink - well for a P38 2.5D anyway. Can only dream of that sort of mpg. Cheers, Ian.

Just a thought, unscrew the feed pipe to the fuel pump - turn on the ignition and the fuel should pour out. proves the tank pump is working.

Hi All, just a quick note to say thanks for all the help and advice. I have just collected Rangie from the 'Indies' who have re-synchronised the BeCM to the engine ECU. To reset the system and bleed the diesel system only cost £137.00 inc VAT. Merry Christmas to all!

Hi There, Just a suggestion, but I think the last post was daft. I would suggest draining the ATF fluid from the 'BOX' and removing the sump, you will find a filter inside the gearbox that 'cleans' the hydraulic fluid before it is recycled around the system. Go for this first as it's a lot...

Hi Matey, sounds like you have a sticky ignition key in sensor, or you have the damn ign switch sensor set to permanent (same as mine). Try some graphite powder in the ignition switch (not WD40). Failing that textbook csn switch this function off. Good luck, Ian.
