Hi guys ..my 110 200tdi .has started howling when the revs are peaking for a gear change upwards ..normally happens in 3/4 gears .drop the revs back a touch and it goes immediately it's quite deafening .turbo is kicking in nicely and you can just here it working at times under the other howl...

ok guys whilst reversing tonight had a loud bang and lost reverse and all forward gears .put it into difflock and got it back home what have I broken please ?????

ok guys .took the crankcase breather off was gunked up possibility of the back pressure but it had water in .head gasket you think ????

sockets nd spanners out tomorrow kets see what weve got

thanks guys gonna try a few things first and if no good I will source another engine bloody shame .but hey ho its got 270000 on it so I suppose its inevitable

oil coming out of the dipstick tube and using water any ideas guys ????
