    Help. D1 300tdi. Won't start.

Glad it was something simple (nice thing about the old 300tdi engines is it usually is!)

    Help. D1 300tdi. Won't start.

Check the connectors to the starter motor. Assuming it's a manual you could try bump starting it if you've got access to another vehicle powerful enough to tow it.

Land Rover discovery 2 Vs Mitsubishi warrior

Bring anal its a Shogun Sport... which is based on the L200 pickup (not a shogun as the video title suggests) I used to own one... darn good off reader it was too. Whereas the shogun was designed to rival the discovery, the shogun sport was aimed more at the defender market. Rough and ready...

    Green laning in Chippenham/Bath area

Nearest good lanes are salisbury Plain. More than happy to have a chat about what is worth visiting or maybe even meet up for a day down there. More locally the Old Coach Road running parallel to the a420 near Castle combe is a nice easy drive. There's a few bits of the fosse way driveable...

    Defender rear wheel hanging off

Furthest I'd drive that is onto the back of a recovery truck or across the yard into a garage! Please tell us you're not planning on driving any further like that!

    Broken down td5 near junction 17 m4

Glad to hear you're sorted - not too far from me, but J17 to Chippenham Town Centre (Harfords) is probably a bit far to recover on a tow rope anyway. Have used Harfords in the past - they're not necessary the cheapest but you get what you pay for. One of my friends always swore by Broad Lane...

Sealant for trailer bed for off-road Discovery?

If it's WBP then it should be good for a while.

Sealant for trailer bed for off-road Discovery?

My concern with aluminium sheeting etc is it will trap moisture against the plywood. It will also potentially be a slippery surface. The ideal base would be proper rubber coated ply (the stuff new trailers come with). Next best is marine ply. Not sure what you mean by "weatherproof" ply but...

    Is it that bad?

Hmm I always think they've got a very nice face... But a disappointing backside ;)

    Is it that bad?

Personally if I had a tratter I'd also invest in a couple of lions... and underfeed them. That should keep those of a light fingered persuasion away!

    Is it that bad?

A farmer I know keeps his landrover unlocked, with the keys in the ignition. But if anyone unknown to his dogs tried to get in it they'd have two alsations clamped to their legs

    Is it that bad?

A friend has 2 trackers on theirs. The first is a cheap one he bought 2nd hand. It's not actually active. It is however very obviously located. The second is well hidden, is an expensive one, and is live. His theory is if it's nicked they'll see the first tracker, remove it, and think...

    Wiltshire green lanes

Farmers may well have a right of access, and will almost certainly it need to access their fields... just the same as when our road is closed for roadworks we can still access the house. Odd that it needs more time to recover... everything round here is bone dry and rock hard

Anyone able to help get me unstuck near Llangollen

Will a jump pack with + on the battery and - on the engine block not give you enough power to get it into N? That's that the AA chap did when my D3 started shorting through the alternator.

    Discovery 1 Cheapest disco tdi

Looking for a 200tdi or 300tdi. It's for off road use on a farm. Needs working engine and drive train. None of the following matter: Interior (can be as manky or ripped as can be) Electrics (don't need heating, lights, radio, etc) Rust (unless it's literally about to snap in half. It's never...
