    Lots of issues

Hi. I have a Discovery 3 2005. I have just been told it needs €4000 to fix everything wrong with it and almost passed out. The most expensive part I can not get over is the rear crossover pipe that goes over from one set of exhaust over to the other, its €638 just for the pipe. Is there not...

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

Yes mine is a manual. I must video it on start up and show people on here what it is doing. I seen a video on YouTube of a guy doing a service, going to use it as a guide to remove the egr and clean the main inlet on top of the engine. Trying to find a egr bypass kit as on eBay they all vary in...

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

Going to take a look to take it all apart and see what is going on inside. Do you know if I can expect oil or anything like that everywhere?

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

Hi Mike. I watched your video and I noticed two things. By the way it's a great video. What is that you have on the egr valve? What is the benefits of blocking or cutting off the egr valve. Where is the MAF sensor to disconnect it and see is it the problem? Many thanks.

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

Hi Skinny Mike. That all sounds very helpful. I am going to try to get a look at the MAF sensor if the weather is good tomorrow (after the F1) and I have a Haynes manual too but find you need a idea what the problem is and then look at the manual to find how to do it.

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

I have no clutch issue and under load the car pulls well with no lag. All I want is the chugging and smoke gone from idle. And if anyone can say without me spending out massive money like some people on here have to no avail and no positive feedback. Even wondering about asking my local BMW...

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

Yes at the first garage but that was the garage who told me the power steering pump and turbo were leaking and need replacing but turns out they did not and that the injectors in my Freelander were special ones from Germany and all had to be removed and sent back to Germany. (I did not come down...

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

No new clutch or anything like that. Was front discs and pads, stabiliser links. Would never usually go to a dealer but I went to a so called independent LR specialist with my 2005 Freelander who gave a list long as your arm of things to do but totally missed the fact the clutch was on the way...

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

Hi guys. It's done just under 220000klms. Would the Land Rover dealer not have been more in tune to say it's the injectors?

Please help, LR Freelander smoke and chugging

Please I hope someone can help me. I have seen a few posts on here which seem to relate to my issues but don't seem to be resolved. Apologies for it been long winded. My 2006 td4 has issues I have tried to be exact as I can. It starts fine on the turn of the key but soon as it fires the whole...

    Freelander td4 problems (various)

Crankcase breather. Exactly as you said is what I always thought but the technician in Land Rover Enniskillen said there is no major advantage more then sticking with the regular filter and changing it ever service interval.

    Freelander td4 problems (various)

That is the exact same as my clutch was doing. Under heavy load the car would kind of free rev from say 1200rpm to 3000rpm then it's like it would catch up with itself. I'd argu that it's not your cost the clutch needs doing and as a by product of the clutch failing it could well have caused a...

    Freelander td4 problems (various)

Problem 3. In relation to fitting the BMW crankcase breather, it is worth mentioning that I have just had my crankcase breather changed to try to fix my problem and I'll be honest with you the LR technician did argu that there is no real benefits to the BMW replacement as the filter supplied in...

    Freelander td4 problems (various)

Brakes. My brakes on the 2006 one now where making a lot of audio like screeching. My front discs were unevenly worn. Changed the front pads and discs and all brake issues are gone.
