Sold mine about 12 months ago on fleabay for £450, that was unlocked for Td5 disco and freelander 2 canbus, boxed with both cables.

Any car is as good as the driver. Having owned both d2 and fl2 they're both very capable but d2 will go places that fl2 won't. And on green ice I've been stuck in a d2 along with a defender whilst a suzuki jimny flew on up the hill leaving us at the bottom. Tyres will make a massive difference...

Discovery 3 and 4 have air and can be converted to springs as can range rovers. Do you mean ACC or ACE? So not that clear from original post.

The Nanocom you need is the one specific to your vehicle. The evolution unit is the same, its different unlock codes that allow it to work with different landrover models. I have a Nanocom evolution that was bought for use with my Discovery 2 td5. I purchased a unlock code for my Freelander 2...

Pu wont seal properly. Take each sunroof out clean old c#&p off and re seal with sikaflex and use the correct primer too. Its what manufacturers use to stick windows in with. We use it on super yachts to stick windows in and they're ocean going and dont leak. It false economy to bodge it...

Had exactly the same problem. Noticed one day horns no longer worked. Took bumper off, checked horns and they had seized. Full continuity on windings but no movement. Replaced with marco tornado air horns. Repositioned so not so prone to water ingress. Brilliantly loud. Scares the s&#t out of...

First thing you need to buy or borrow, maybe steal is a fault code reader that works with the td5. Nanocom, hawkeye, lynx etc. Do not trust a generic code reader as 99.9% of the time it will not work correctly with the td5 engine or other onboard systems thanks to LR not using an industry...

Almost bought this one to do mine but ended up selling the d2 and buying a gaylander 2 instead. Highly recommended buy my nephew who is a very skilled mechanic. Lots of local garages wont touch the knuckles as they need to buy a decent kit to change them.

Why degrade a Landrover by fitting it with anything from a BMW.
