Hi guys, I have bought a new exhaust manifold. The wings (bull horns) are a loose fit, is this right? Should I use exhaust sealant to get a air tight fit? thanks.

Hi guys, I’m trying to replace my turbo but the cartridge appears to be stuck in the exhaust manifold. I have loosened the 4 retaining bolts but the cartridge is solid inside the manifold. I’ve given the cartridge and then manifold a few hefty taps with a hammer but no success. Any tips?

Today I replaced my glow plugs after finding the Disco required two glow plug heat cycles to start. Sadly the new plugs have made it worse. Very very sluggish to start. I used ETC8847 plugs, which I believe to be correct. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi, I’m looking to add headlight guards to my Disco 300tdi. Everywhere seems out of stock / no longer in production. Would Disco 2 guards fit? Cheers

Hi, My four electric window switches are getting very hot. Disco 1, 300tdi, 1998. I've checked the fuses and both (front and rear) are 30 amps - as per the Users Manual. I know there is a bulb within each which may get warm but the switches are hot (very hot). Any ideas? Cheers Andrew

Folks, I'm rebuilding my 1979 S3 rear axle but the stub axles seem solidly attached to the axle housing...is this right? From reading other threads and looking at the parts catalog I believe the stub axles can be removed, but not on mine.....:eek:. The front stub axles came off no bother. photos...

Chaps, I think I've managed to slightly damage the internal threads on my rear axle oil drain plug. Does anybody know what thread size it is? I'm hoping a gentle tap will sort things out....help much appreciated.

Hi all, Got a bit of a problem. when I hit 50 mph i get a terrible vibration and the whole landy shakes! This only happens when I accelerate if I take my foot off the accelerator it stops, currious I know. Any ideas folks?? Cheers in advanced

Hi recently got a new (second hand) engine put in my defender 300tdi. Runs perfect but slight oil leak on top of engine, dont have any photos but the oil seems 2 be leaking out of 3 of the nuts to the right of the glow plugs! Havent tempted to tighten them up yet, have i got a serious problem...
