Back again with a new issue

Sort the clutch issue. Touch of oil on the arm and it’s fine. I’ve fitted the the bush. It’s vastly different in regards it feels a lot firmer and when you put the foot down it just feels better. The issue I have is that it sounds a bit louder. I’m not sure if I like it. Hopefully it will...

Now I have a sticky clutch. Brilliant. This car is the gift that keeps on giving.

Back again with a new issue

The bush arrived this week. Had a quick look this morning. The old bush is so worn it literally fell out the tie bar. The new bush will need to be pressed in some how. I’ve tried to push it but not a chance, even tried tapping it in with a hammer. No go so will need to try a bench clamp next

Supposedly not at if you use them on the top tie bar it causes too much vibration

Back again with a new issue

Wasn’t free it was nearly 40 quid for two. I only need one. Read the box it’s meant to come with two. I would never give a penny to o dam. I used to work in a pub near there offices and they would come in most nights spending hundreds on company cards

I’ve taken delivery of the power flex bush for the bottom tie. But for some reason the packet had two sets in it. So now I have a spare. I’m gonna test fit it. If I’m happy with it and can quantify the difference it’s made, would anyone be interested in buying the other. £12 inc postage?

    Is this the correct bush!

Back again with a new issue

That’s the correct part but is it possible to just buy the bush. It seems such a waste to buy the full mount when that isn’t an issue but only the rubber bit. I can feel a noticeable change with the new mount fitted. But as with freelancers wkth every fix a new issue arises

Back again with a new issue

I’ve just been out and fitted the mount. The old one doesn’t look to be worn at all. Just as stiff. With very little play at all. The upper tie that fits behind it though is very loose. The rubber is moving freely around inside the mount. I feel that this could’ve my issue. anyone know a good...

I’ve ordered the mount above on the off chance. Considering getting the poly bush bits for the tie rod as seen on a different thread. My new drop link arrived to day. It’s a meyle-hd, I must saw as packaging and appearances go it looks pretty good. The build quality is 10 times better than the...

I drive to Devon and back regularly. I’ve never actually broken down in this car, it always seems to struggle through with issues I’m just fed up of having issues

Back again with a new issue

I did buy the clutch and give it to them to fit. It’s going back tomorrow anyway. I’ve asked him to strip it back and have a good look, I want the car running with no issues before I go to France. It shouldn’t be causing this issues. Hopefully it shouldn’t need replacing just like nodge says...

Back again with a new issue

The last drop link I had to cut off as the nut had stripped part of the thread and would only undo so much. I’ve done a search and found that it seems to be a common issue this clutch judder and has been knock to cause mount bolts to snap. That could explain why this has happened twice now...

Back again with a new issue

Sorry for the late response. Been away for while. Got the car back at the last month. It had snapped yet another engine mount bolt. Causing the mount to rub on the drive shaft. The Mechanic said it was due to me cross threading it last time. I’m dubious as it still judders in first but that’s an...

Not the engine. I’m sure of that. It’s in the garage now, just waiting on the diagnosis

I’ve taken off the prop today. Zero change. Still sounds like I’m driving a tractor. Off to the garage tomorrow

Back again with a new issue

It’s been converted to 2wd so the prop doesn’t have a purpose anymore. It’s not driven by anything
