    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

I think what I will do is fill up again and then run for about 350-380 miles then sort the problem out!!

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

What mpg do you get on your diesel then:eek: . Imust admit I thought it would still be cheaper to run even with the price hikes!

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

I average about 20mpg and the v8 has a 100 liter tank (22 gallons) so that comes out at closer to 440 miles even if I put my foot down a bit I would rarely see less than 18mpg and that still works out at 396 miles!! Not brilliant but not as bad as you think!

It's a 4.6 P38 so don't really want to have to worry about the fuel situation (well more than I do anyway!!!)

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

I've got a problem with my fuel gauge at the moment, the gauge is reading about 1/4 full when the tank is full I drive 50 miles or so and the light comes on and the computer tells me it's time to fill up again, if I go up and down a sharp incline the gauge seems to go back up agian for a while...

    What handbrake cable for Hybrid

I'm currently building a Lightweight Range Rover Hybrid. I have fitted a 3.9 V8 with ZF 4 speed auto and was going to use a 90/110 handbrake. Has anyone out there got any idea what cable might link them without to much fuss?

    Steering Wandering

I've just hadf a similar problem to this. I checked all bushes an track rod ends etc and all were ok. I then took it to my local tyre fitter who checked the wheel alignment and found it was well out, this had caused the inside edge of the tyres to round off slightly (but still legal), so I got...

    Chrome side bars

I have fitted them before (LR ones). From memory all the fixing points are already in the body and the fitting instructions that come with the kit are pretty good but with very few words (all pictures). I think the fixing around the air suspension tank are a bit challenging but not impossible...

    Engine heat plummeting

Haven't had a chance to check the thermostat yet but will try too in the next week or so. I did take my motor to see the mechanic yesterday he noticed that the coolant level had gone down since he serviced it a couple of weeks ago and said that I should keep an eye on it. He did warn about 4.6's...

    Engine heat plummeting

Driving home the oter night in -3 degrees C, I watched the engine temperature drop quickly to the bottom of the dial (the engine hadn't got up to full temp in the 50 mile drive anyway). I was surprised to see it drop so quickly. Is this normal in cold temperatures? Is a radiator muff the answer...
