Driving around Europe - requirements and considerations

You're welcome though defer to the map to be certain rather than the word of some internet creature!:D "The restrictions of the LEZ of Brussels do not apply to the international E-road E19 and E40. Also excluded are 3 Park&Ride parking areas, located on the boundary of the environmental zone."...

Driving around Europe - requirements and considerations

You only need an "Umwelt Plakette" if you travel into an environmental zone, which a pretty much limited to cities. They will check foreign plated cars and it is enforced. Lots of information here...

Front calipers gone, check out the state of these pads!

They look like Discovery 1 pads, found out the hard way the Disco 1 axles and running gear are identical to 90/110/Defender... except the brake callipers  Could be a good excuse to fit some vented discs... ;) and do the wheel bearings at the same time. The Disco 1 pads are smaller...

    Tow bar fitting problem

Trying to fit a drop plate tow bar today to my 90 and the chassis arms/braces are too long by about an inch. The cross member is new (300TDi). Any ideas? Are these arms different lengths between TD5 and TDi chassis or defender/disco TDi?

    Power drop off on hills

I've not had a recurrence at all recently (though not done any long distance either), could well have been the crud inside the fuel filter housing I cleaned out whilst changing the filter housing out (because the bleed screw was stripped on the one I took off...), will give it a good booting up...

    Discovery 300 tdi fuel issues

I've been having similar issues, some good ideas going on in this thread here; https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/power-drop-off-on-hills.327242/ Getting fuel out of the fuel filter bleed nipple using the lift pump priming lever can be a bit of a false indication of the lift pump state (I...

Funny How one small job leads to a list.....

:D Other than give it a decent service probably isn't much needed (new oils all round and coolant renewal) it'd be worth having a check of all the hoses etc, they probably didn't age well. Maybe some easier to extra service jobs too (injectors clean) and check all your earth's and give 'em a...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Tried to figure out why my bottom rad hose is leaking under pressure, seems to have not sealed/clamped down properly with the jubilee so re-seated the hose and replaced the jubilee. Hopefully that fixes it

Funny How one small job leads to a list.....

The 200TDi will probably just need a bit of diesel and a decent cranking from a good battery.

    Power drop off on hills

So I ballsed up the coolant renewal, flushed the radiator, header tank and stuck the house in the t-stat housing but completely forgot about the heater matrix and that I didn't take the drain plug out the side of the block... so the coolant is sort of renewed (at least some bits have had a could...
