Folks I need help. My D4 NSR passenger door has the child lock switched on. Today the door actuator has failed meaning I can’t unlock the door from outside using the fob. I need to replace the actuator but need to know how to open the door to access the mechanism etc 🤦🏼‍♂️

So we have solved the “charging system fault” message on the dashboard.. My mechanics words were :- The charging fault was a corroded wire in the plenum that provides the power to the battery monitor sensor So if anyone else is having this message this is worth a look :-)

Whoever had the car before me has left the cables loose and the ends have frayed against the hubs… mine is goosed so either way I need a replacement set up

Folks where other than landrover is best to buy a EPB set up. I cannot justify the £750+vat that Landrover want? I’m happy to go aftermarket or recon/used. Regards Ben

She’s not been in the garage yet to be fixed how mine has started doing this.. when you start her the alternator is not charging at all. Once the “charging system” fault appears after 10seconds it begins to charge but only at 13.4 volts

Well she’s booked in now so one way or the other she will be sorted when I get her back :-)

Update….. she’s booked in to be checked over however things have changed since yesterday. So yesterday you would star car and get 14v straight away until the warning light appeared and voltage would drop to 13.5v. Now when I start her randomly the alternator doesn’t start to charge until the...

Thanks, I’ll drop the mains charger oh her tonight and will check all terminals.. What’s throwing me is she’s charging at 14v but after approx ten seconds the fault appears on the dash and the charging voltage drops to 13.5v

Afternoon all. So today on way to work my disco 4 has developed a new fault. So with engine off the voltage shows 12.3v. She starts perfect and voltage jumps to 14v, after approx ten seconds the dashboard beeps (displays charging system fault) and immediately the voltage drops to 13.5v...

Sorry I am referring to the black module under the car. Diagnostics show the emergency release has been pulled so I am looking at best way to repair/replace the module under the car. When you use the hand brake button you can hear the motor working

So my other issue is the EPB needs replacing. I know the emergency release has been pulled prior to me buying the car. My question is where to get the module etc? Landrover want £715.20+vat for the module and that is on back order with no ETA. What are my other options? I’ve seen a module...
