Near the ultrasonic sensor? This has been cleaned a few times because of corrosion..

    P38 EAS constantly adjusting

The same thing is happening to me after a compressor rebuild and four new bags, after 300 miles, it sound like the compressor has gone again, sounds like a rattling, clicking lunatic. I also rebuilt the block last year, though I'm not ruling that out. Compressor was still running frequently...

P38A Air spring set costs more than individual items at Island

Front two are a lot easier if you remove the arch liners. Back two, if they're being stubborn and not coming out with a crowbar through the gap, cut the bag to make room and use the crowbar from the inside. I'm running out of major jobs to do! Oh, I have every bushing to replace...

All. Done. That's the back two anyway, front two tomorrow and an oil change and that'll be it for planned stuff for a while!

P38A Air spring set costs more than individual items at Island

Pins are not the problem, I've been heaving, hoing, and generally trying to leverage as much of myself as possible to get the top out. The right side eventually gave way, the left is being just as stubborn. The job is easy easy if I could just get the bags out!

What size are the blocks if you can remember? I've got some 4x4 in the shed and will just cut some myself :)

    P38A Replacing Negative Battery Cable

Thanks again @wammers All fixed now on the cable side of things, made up two separate cables rather than the factory spliced original. No more time left to investigate suspension this trip, but I've a rebuild kit for it coming just in case and four new bag waiting to go on, so plenty to do!

    P38A Replacing Negative Battery Cable

Will split it tomorrow and earth at the point in front of the fuse box, hopefully they will solve that.

    P38A Replacing Negative Battery Cable

There we go then! Will correct tomorrow, thanks. As an aside, when I got back to the car yesterday, it had a little residual air in the bags, then dropped further. Tried to give it 15- 20 minutes to fill up the tank and then adjust the height, but it wasn't moving an inch. The compressor (new...

    P38A Replacing Negative Battery Cable

Yes it is! On closer inspection, the original splits in front of the fuse box, and it looks like it's earthed there too. I thought it was just routed that way, I'm guessing that is an important part to miss out..

    P38A Replacing Negative Battery Cable

No plumes of smoke, I'll pull the ground off the body and give that a good rub down. See what happens. Battery is good, it's been charging just fine since I put a new alternator on it a year or two ago. The terminal was so loose that it would just pull right off, I figured I better do...

    P38A Replacing Negative Battery Cable

Afternoon all. I have just replaced the negative cable as the connector wouldn't tighten, and the cable was too short to cut and attach a new one. I suspected the cable I got from Halfrauds may not be up to the task as its about half, maybe two thirds as thick as the original. On trying to...
