Hi Update on problem. Tow bar module and wiring loom to sockets were faulty. purchased new after market module and loom, plug and play. All worked straight away. will book in for other features to be programmed. Thanks for help and guidance, it’s very much appreciated.

In between the constant showers i have managed to wire in a new 7 pin plug. On checking with the engine off all the ports are giving the reading 05.5, i am right in thinking that 12v should be coming through ? Could this be the towing module that is the issue ?

Hi Yes changed the fuse with a new 15A. I plugged the trailer board in this afternoon and tried all functions aren’t working. Not even the brake lights.

Have now put earth connector as picture above, checked fuses and all are ok. I have put a multimeter on to test output at plugs and I only get a small feed coming out of the right hand indicator, nowhere near 12v. so I am wonderering if the sockets themselves are faulty - do I cut wires and new...

I have a tow bar electrics plug in checker, this will not light up when button is pressed however when you start the engine all the lights on the checker flask. I will check the earth connection tomorrow, I used one of the screw connectors behind the panel, i will hunt for the earth connector...

It’s a genuine LR unit, have double checked all the connections and all are fitted.
