    Pay to cancel a policy?

The difference is that Flux have made this charging an art form :( My Def 50th cost me around 9 months insurance when I sold it 3 months after taking out the policy. Daylight robbery in my view. Could try calling them and saying you've sold your LR and bought a Veyron/Zonda etc. They'll say we...

I like the Defendoor trims so will go for these. What's the best way to run the speaker wires from the HU back. Cleanest looks to be along to the A pillar, up the A pillar and under the roof trim. What have you guys done.

Anyone got a nono or similar in East Sussex

Do you know Terrain Vehicles. They're on your doorstep. Call Mark or Simon (01424 200262) and ask what they would charge to read your bumps. I've got the same problem with mine and it's going in at the beginning of April for it's yearly TLC and to have the 3 amigos disposed of.

    plug leads replacement

I don't know how much the gas install impinges on your ability to get your hand down the back of the engine so can't help.

    plug leads replacement

It can be done without removing the plenum chamber but it is tight, has to be done by feel and you will lose some skin from your hands. You also have to lay right across the top of the engine so do it when it's cold. It took my indy about 20 minutes from start to finish.

    Magnecor leads

Price up a set of OEM from LR and then price the Magnecors. You may be pleasently surprised. I have Magnecor Blue on my D2 V8 and when they were fitted....and that's another story of fun and lost skin......for the first couple of seconds after start up the engine was revving about 100 rpm more...

What to Look for when Buying a V8

Have a sniffer test done or do one yourself. 5 minute job and may well save you from buying one with a porous block/slipped liner/head gasket problem. Check hoses for hardness when up to temp. If the top hose is rock hard walk away. So it's cooling system, cooling system and cooling...

removing tweeter trim to fit car hands free

The trim is fixed with 4 metal push in clips which run down the centre of the trim piece. If you pull it hard enough it will come. You don't need to remove the trim to get the mike cable in. I had a Parrot Kit fitted to my D2 this week and the guy used a pointed screwdriver with an "S" shaped...

My front 1 stopped working and it turned out to be dirty contacts on the switch. Just cleaned them up and everything worked again. Give it a try as it could be a real chep fix.

    Headlamp beam deflectors for Disco

Halfords do a universal kit for about £6 and as others have said, there is always the bodge of gaffer tape in the correct position. My car spends a few months a year in Europe so I bought the perspex deflectors/protectors from the stealer. They were £47 and take about 30 seconds to...

    TD5 Sunroof Seal

DO NOT under any circumstances buy the seals from ebay. They are a rip off. You can buy them from your local stealer for £11. One of the few occassions when stealer is cheaper.
