Ok many thx for all answers i think it must be just a sign of age it has done 150000 just passed emissions test on MOT and if its not broke i won't fix i will just keep putting oil in but will check weekly. Ay other comments would be much appreciated

Hi lads/ladeis :confused: :confused: I checked the oil the other day in my disco 1 300tdi and in didn't register on the dip stick. I only filled it up 4 month ago because of same problem. There's no oil dripping out and i don't leave oil puddles any where and it still drives ok. Any ideas...

Hi evey one i have heard that taking off the front prop shaft can cut down on fuel usage.and with the prices as they r i was wondering if any 1 else has done it and dose it work

we have tried that could it be the immobiliser the clicking noise comes from the starter relay or from the black box by the fuse box

Not all the time but occasionally we have problems starting the disco. I go to start it wait for the glow plug light to go out but when i turn the key there is nothing apart from a slight tick noise every time you turn the key which appears to come from the direction of the passenger side.
