    Petrol tank fixing

    I'm fitting a new petrol tank to my 1977 88". I see in the parts manual the fixing bolts have big rubber washers which seem to insulate the tank from the outrigger. There were just normal rusty bolts on the old one. Are these important or can I just bolt the tank on using ordinary bolts.

    When I bought it the man from Ebay said it were a Series 3 88" Vouge. It has got a rev counter and an electric oil pressure gauge, darnt look at the oil pressure though, probably take it out an sell it, take out the oil pressure light too

    Just joined the group having just aquired a 1977 88. Can't seem to find the screen for the integral sat nav, also the controls for the CD player do not seem to be on the steering wheel where I would have expected them, but worse of all where is the hook to hang my coat on in the back?     Hi All

    Just joined the group, bought a 77 ser 3 88" about 3 weeks ago. Most of the rear of the 88 is now not attached to it, used 2 grinding disks and 20 pairs of gloves. Have a 2 gallon bucket full of old bolts, and 2 dusbins full of dried mud and rust. Tub and roof outside the garage in the garden...
