Does anyone know what the 2 plugs are for each side of the front firewall below the leaf fillter.

Are these devices simply a diagnostic tool or are they able to access ECUs to reset or make changes. Been thinking about getting one but if they are too limited in their application i might give them a miss.

I noticed the other day that changing from 5th to 4th was becoming difficult and felt that the whole linkage felt quite firm. Its a manual gearbox, is it a cable or push rod selector and is it accessible to lubricate it. Whats considered to be the best workshop Manual. Thanks, Colin.
