I have just changed both my front ones with units from a rover 75. They are identical

I fitted the 75 locks to my freelander yesterday. Had to do both front doors, drivers side is more fiddly due to the key lock. I managed to find some on ebay that were £16 each. He has lots of them, dont know if im allowed to put the link up?

Finally got it up on the ramps and found the lower tie bar had no bolt through the small bush so was just hanging there....

Hi all, going to have a look at my engine mounts at the weekend following the long thread about the ird... can anyone point me in the right direction as where to look? And how many? 2002 TD4

Props and vcu removed, think they were steadying the engine as now off the engine has too much movement

Cheers, think i am just going to sell it as dont need two cars. Just need to work out how much to ask for it

Just had a look at the uj on the prop and it all looks ok apart from the gaitor. Just a thought but would like your comments, as it seems the engine mounts have knackered do you think that as i pulled away from the traffic lights that the engine moved and caused the cv joint to pop out of its...

Right update number 2, took for another drive on my own and the knock is coming from the exhaust hitting something which does lead me to believe the whole engine and gearbox are moving way too much... sorry dastardlydan seems you may be right

The knock is definitely coming from the back as had neighbour sit in the back

Update, removed props and vcu. Thought i would take it for a test drive and now there is a noise from the rear, whenever i touch the accelerator or take foot of i get a loud knock which rocks the whole car including the gearstick, not happy as no funds to repair as mot is due in two weeks so...

Cheers, i am going to remove it all tomorrow and run it 2wd (after informing insurance) until funds are better as i will just replace the vcu just to be on the safe side..

Cheers, couple of questions though, Do i remove both props along with the vcu or just the front? Will i need a cover plate for the ird? How do i check the vcu with prop removed? Sorry about the questions..
