How old is your battery? A bad battery can cause this. Maybe go find a place that sells batteries and get them to test it.

You need someone with a code reader to diagnose the problem.

Firstly check the long hose which goes to the water pump. I though mine was the pump so bought one and then discovered it was the hose. I have a brand new genuine pump still in box if you do need one.

First thing you need to do is check the battery is healthy as a failing battery can cause those kind of problems.

I didn't have any diesel in the sump either, just virtually no acceleration, very poor starting and random cutting out.

I did, changed everything - loom, fuel pump, filter head, glowplugs and pipes to tank. All this made virtually no difference. Once the seals were done it ran really well until a tree fell on it in Storm Doris:eek:

Probably injector seals, make sure you use genuine ones. Unless you are very good with spanners I would pay someone to do it. Parts are pretty cheap and it's not a big job to someone who knows how to do it.

I think 70 miles is probably about the threshold based on how the car is being driven and how much longer it thinks it can run before the fuel runs out. So I would say doubtful there is any problem with sender/wiring.

The engine has a safety system which will cut it out if it senses it may run out of fuel.

I don't think it does rule out the bags, mine did this intermittently for ages. Ended with one going down on the A303 returning from Cornwall and an RAC trailer home. Went to move it the next day and both bags fully inflated again. Ordered new bags and drove it for a few days without any...

On the Disco 4 there is a small square hole at the front edge of the courtesy light panel. In it there is a White LED which shines down onto the centre console and can be dimmed with the panel light dimmer. Maybe yours has this too?

Had the same on and off for about three months, was a sticking brake caliper.

Mine lost heat after prolonged tickover but warmed up again after driving and as far as I know there was nothing wrong. Are you sure it's not on the outside of the lens, mine was. If so just search fixing cloudy headlamp lenses on YouTube.
