hi, Im not 100% on this subject but some D2 had the pin in place, so all you would need is the lever. others did not have the Mech at all. Ashcroft do a kit to convert from non CDL to CDL. as well as providing the CDL Lever and stickers etc. quite very expensive tho!

I don't do very many miles at all! 5 - 6 K maybe 7 at a real push! would love a V8 but never had to deal with a petrol. if that's the case what's the difference between the 3.9 and 4.0 (apart form 0.1 lol) and is it worth looking for something with LPG?

could be airlock from when the coolant went low when it leaked. try lifting the exp bottle up above the head as the full level sits below the top of the head when bottle is in place. if problem persists its prob HG.

on the 300 there is a lift pump to pull fuel from tank and through filter into pump. is it the same on the vw? i know of some ppl that put an electric pump too as the origional is mechanical. when my lift pump went bust she would still start etc but needed more then 1/4 tank full and also...

on my 1995 i dont have any airbags. so if you're not bothered about SRS why not take the system out on both sides, removing srs ecu and therefore light wont come on? i've got a handle and cubby box type thing instead of passenger bag.

I used to run Petrol mixed in my diesel on an Isuzu engine... Then the fuel pump seals told me they didn't like that in spectacular fashion lol

got the disco last July so I changed the oil then... been parked up since end September getting restored (started as a roof respray, ended up taking every panel off and removing all and any rust lol). i usually do 2 oil changes, one for winter and one for summer and i thought i'd try a new oil...
