It could be the wheel bearing/cv joint for the grinding noise turning right and Watts linkage for the clunking noise on uneven surfaces.

Yes but with this offset you need to make sure there is enough clearance on the front wheel arches between the door and the back of the wheelarch. I cut the arches to fit and then had to bend the plastic wheel arches to cover it. Got the new exhaust fitted so now it sounds like it should :)...

I managed to cut the ground cables and pull the other ones back leaving the connectors intact. Then all I did was re-ground the wires in its new location, looks like it grew there.

Yes mines next to the abs module (top right) as you look under the bonnet. Mine just has a 2" suspension lift. It does catch the arches at extreme articulation but only slightly.

No problem at all and thanks, I'm slowly fixing it up one job at a time :-) yours looks like a beast also. I think the 15x10 on 33" tyres lends itself well to the discovery 2 giving it a much more purposeful look.
