Yeah, although once we'd been told this they rang two days later saying she was having the same problem. Tried all the wires & turns out ECU at fault. Which they replaced.... with a discovery 2 pre 2000 ECU so not too impressed. Now in the process of getting that sorted & hopefully original one...

She's been fixed now, thank you for all the suggestions. Turned out to be something to do with the resistor for the throttle pedal. Don't know full details as they spoke to my dad about it

Hey, so I have read many threads, but yet to find one similar to the problem our defender is having. The landrover is currently at a specialist only they are struggling with it. Its a TD5 has had an economy re map & believe it doesnt have an EGR. just under 73k miles. what went wrong ...

Hi all, Got a 2005 90 td5, had it for around a month & love it! However it has broken down :( but being fixed. Found this forum quite handy when trying to see possible things wrong with it so have decided to join :) Looking forward to knowing more :)
