    Defender door

Yeah, tried that, it did make the door easier to close, but then the door wasn't flush with the frame so put it back. Trouble is, I have new door seals so hopping that eventually they will wear a bit and become easier to close!

    Smoke at 2000 rpm

Have you also checked the vacuum reservoir? They tend to get brittle and can start to crack, especially where the pipes connect, causing a lack of vacuum pressure!

    Smoke at 2000 rpm

Just noticed this thread and thought I would share my past experience with a TD4 Freelander. Mine was a 2004 model, I had blanked off the EGR with a full kit and I only experienced the misfire once. I don't think I ever really identified the actual cause, but the only thing I changed was the...

    Wobbly DashCam

I have a nextbase in my 90, it did wobble slightly so I purchased a stealth mount off eBay for it, one that sticks to the windscreen rather than a suction cup fitting, it no doesn't wobble!

    Mud Centre Console

I'm fairly certain some of the VW's have the sort of thing you are looking for and I'm pretty sure they are flat fronted, especially the ones out of vans!

    Speakers

The console is in three parts, the middle section first is held up with tree fixings I think they’re called, however the middle one is most secure as there is a roof support directly above it. The two side sections are held up with the screws for the sun visors and three screws along the top of...

    Speakers

If you’re wanting more sound in the front, why not fit a roof console and fit speakers to that. 4 inch speakers fit just right and give good sound. Attached is a photo of mine!

What have you done to your Landie today.

I’ve finally got my rear screen washer working. BUT, best of all, I’ve replaced the injector harness, before plugging the new one in I cleaned the points on the top of the injectors with carb cleaner, plug it all back together, now it starts easier and runs soooooo much smoother. :)

    Help with Defender Light Bar

I’ve not tried them, just remember seeing the light bars when I was searching for some, shouldn’t be too bad though as they will take payment through PayPal, so at least payment would be protected! Tony.

Bumper mount spots? Yay or Nay?

I always think they look better on a bar to make them level with the headlights! But that is just my opinion!

Freelander 1 TD4 won't start :( ..Anyone local to leicester with a Hawkeye? or other freelander diagnostics tool?

Sounds to me that it's definitely fuel pump related, if it doesn't start with burst of easy start then there's no diesel getting through. Fuel pump behind rear wheel is easiest to check, when it's quiet, stand outside drivers door, turn on ignition and go straight to rear wheel and...

    Raining cats and dogs

Hopefully you get it sorted, please keep us informed. I'm trying to stop mine leaking, I've re-sealed all the joints along the roof and will be having the Alpine seals replaced on Monday. Hopefully one of us will stop theirs from leaking soon! Tony.

    Raining cats and dogs

Are the Alpine seals doing there job, I ask because I had my windscreen seal replaced and as it was shot, then had to use a sealant along the bottom of it as was leaking!

Freelander 1 TD4 won't start :( ..Anyone local to leicester with a Hawkeye? or other freelander diagnostics tool?

Is the rear fuel pump not the first place to start, i.e. Is it running (can you here it)? I also quite agree that diagnostics will probably not help, when mine wouldn't start, the RAC said it was the crack shaft sensor, was in fact the rear fuel pump not working.
