@Hicap phill will probably be able to help. However bear in mind that any hicap that has has been used is likely to have a fairly battered rear tub (no judgment of @HiCapphills land rover intended!)
I agree with the above and to be honest even if you buy a new one rather than rebuilding your current ones (which I am currently doing) I would still fit stainless piston before fitting. If they are new you dont need to do anything else just remove the old piston and slot the new one in.
Or you will find out what it is worth and not sell it. I like watching the vehicles trying to be sold that get put up as a classified a couple of times and dont sell, then an auction that doesn't sell and reaches half the classified price a couple of time, and then disappear. The auctions tend...
yep, that is the same with the major, original book spec is S.A.E. 30 H.D in engine, gearbox, and rear end (also the hydraulics on a major). Although there is a school of thought to use modern multi grade oils as you can still get HD30 I run that.
I don’t like keeping count. It makes keeping the vehicle even less justifiable than it already is! I have all the paperwork and could add incoming wanted to. But I feel the actual Figure would make me sick!
Cannot agree more with the above! I bought the boomslang kit and was very unimpressed. I then Set about modifying it to run direct from the battery and for the relays to be in a sensible position and then gave up and stripped it for parts. With what I paid to half modify it I could have custom...
That was my first through as well. If that is the case you can build up the switch contacts with solder so they make contact again as a temporary fix while you wait for the new part to arrive.
It is not as simple as fully comp insurance any more as lots of them have removed the third party cover on other vehicles. Wife doesn't have it on hers, and out of the three fully comp policies I have only the vintage tractor has the third party cover for other vehicles included.
So convert it into what is a more practical vehicle for you! I am in the process of rebuilding a station wagon body to put on my 110 hardtop now I have a family as side facing seats in the rear tub do not mix well with baby car seats! Depending on what you need you could fit a hardtop to it, and...
pics would definitely help, and it also depends on the design of your brackets. I had to change form the angel iron brackets to flat bar ones when I fitted my tank guard but to do that I just combined the later style tow bar that used these as standard with my older style towbar to fit to my '89...
I do not believe even with your experiment for observations of having a slack alternator belt. Normal running no issue, alternator spins freely with no belt slipping. turn on all additional lighting (at the time 10x 100watt halogens) and the belt would slip, similarly start using the winch and...
Well first coat of high temperature caliper primer is on. Think it will Probabaly need a second coat before a top coat but I will keep this updated with how it turns out. Went for gun metal grey in the end as a colour because everything else I could find was a high gloss finish where as the grey...
I am well aware that you never get back the cost of rebuild. But as I said I monitor the prices and have search alerts setup for these. Like this one basically the same for 17k LINK. or the original ad for the one listed at 18k LINK
or some that are to old to still be on ebay but are all...
A tdi engine with a galv chassis and galv bulkhead I think that is a cheap price regardless of body configuration. If it was a station wagon I would have expected it to be nearer 20k. But this is why i am asking if it is just realistically priced rather than over advertised to then haggled down...
a prop uj failure would not cause this, if it only happens under breaking that suggest something is amiss with the brake system, possible a warped disc, but again not the usual symptom
As above rotational play is normal and to be expected with the slack being taken out of al the drive...
EBAY LINK
Not my ad and the vehicle is nothing to do with me, but I have a search saved for galvanised 110 to monitor prices for insurance value purposes on mine. This seems a lot cheaper than they are usually advertised for considering the photos and description of work done. Are prices...
