    Freelander 1 Tailgate Handle

I knew I'd find the answers I needed on here. My tailgate handle came off in my hand the other day and there were many swears - followed by more swears when I saw the price of a new one. Got lucky at a local breakers, picked one up (as well as a new wing mirror) and as there was minor damage...

    Dodgy starter motor solenoid on L-series Freelander, TD4, TD5 or K V6

I knew I'd find my answer here! Mine is doing the same, my bro seems to think that as its at the front it gets full of cack as well. My husband did it last time (a year or so ago) but I really want to do it myself this time. Will keep this thread handy

The lights are on - but she just won't start

Had something similar not long ago. Lights coming on and nothing happening. Searched these forums and narrowed it down to either ignition switch or starter motor. Fuel Tank Cradle Show Of Hands

I would definitely be interested in a plain one. Clocked the state of mine when we were under the car it today changing the back box. Currently dickering between getting it done at a garage, which would surely bankrupt me.....or getting the old man to do it....which likely won't end well either!

I only noticed that after I put the new one on, it's definitely neater than the old one which was a round tube one, and had bits hanging off it! Did snap a pic of the old one, but it didn't upload for some reason. We did notice that one of the support bars for the fuel tank is looking very...

    Changing back box on exhaust.

It's done, the new exhaust came with rubbers and a clamp. Needed help from himself to get old one off as old clamp/bolt really corroded. He got his grinder out to cut it off and between us managed to wiggle old box off. I managed to get the new one on while being heckled by the hubby and the...

    Changing back box on exhaust.

Hi all Did a quick search so hopefully I'm not duplicating a question already asked. Have a new back box for my exhaust on the way. I have a 2005 2.0 diesel TD4. Any hints/tips/guide for getting it on? Hubby works nights and would like to just get on with it if at all possible if it's...

First time Landy owner - be gentle! :)

Hi all Got my first Landy yesterday in the shape of a Freelander, 2l diesel on an 05 plate. My daughter is already in love with heated seats and a warm bum on the school runs, and I feel that long drives in it are going to be very comfy indeed based on the driving I have already done...

    Folding mirror problem

Thanks so much for this. Got my car yesterday and while fiddling about to learn what all the buttons did I managed to fold the mirrors in, but the passenger side one made that noise but did not move back. Definitely worth a try!
