One was sold on there back in early January, but there's been nothing anywhere worldwide since, if Google is to be believed.

    Oxford Diecast 76SET17A 1:76 models

Hi Folks, A long shot, but please does anyone have for sale an Oxford Diecast set of five 1:76 Land Rovers, part number 76SET17A, that were made for ModelZone back in 2012. I'm after it as a surprise present for a relative who collects model Land Rovers, so it must be in as new condition with...

    Wheel Arch liners

Some of you may be interested in these: Inner fender, rear - Land Rover Discovery I+II (2 doors) - yoc 89-03 - LOKARI & Industry Representation Hanna I've used Lokari's liners before (on an old Opel Manta) and they were brilliant both for quality and fit. They certainly helped keep the rust at...

    How much waxoyl?

Which goes to show that, as has been said previously, Waxoyl is rubbish. But it's your choice.

    How much waxoyl?

May I ask what's putting you off Bilt Hamber's 'Dynax' range please? If it helps, the S50 and UB are dark brown, the UC is a very light brown (almost fawn), and they're all made in Britain.

    How much waxoyl?

Or, if you want THE BEST rust proofing products available: http://www.bilthamber.com/cavity-waxes Ask them for a copy of last year's 42 page University of Hertfordshire report into a 2084 hour salt spray test on steel panels coated in a variety of products (Waxoyl & Dinitrol included). But...

    Britains 1:32 Series One

Probably the wrong place to put this (as it's a Defender), but here's another bargain: scalefarm.com: Land Rover Defender, Trailer and Bobcat Skidsteer Set - Big Farm (Britains 42919)

    Britains 1:32 Series One

For anyone who collects die cast models, House of Fraser have a great deal on at present: Britains Britains Land Rover Series 1 (42848) - House of Fraser I hope this is of interest.

A nice dilemma - advice please

I'll be applying the products myself Thor. They do a wide range of coatings and if I use them correctly, there won't be any need for a warranty as nothing will ever need to be repaired. Here's their website: Corrosion Protection, Rust Removal, Car Wax and Car Polish from Bilt-Hamber UK Having...

A nice dilemma - advice please

Thanks, and interesting, but I'll stick with Bilt Hamber.

A nice dilemma - advice please

Thanks folks. I'm certainly looking forward to next week, although then I'll have a load of work getting it properly rustproofed (I've already spent a stack with Bilt Hamber in preparation) and sorted out ready to use for my work.

    Rustmaster

What is it with Land Rover owners and Waxoyl? Is it perhaps that, as the vehicles are based on ancient technology, they think that their corrosion prevention ought to be too? Have a read of this: Defender2 - View topic - Rust prevention or treatment Then repeat after me: "Waxoyl is rubbish...

A nice dilemma - advice please

After waiting for three months, this afternoon i was able to go to check over my new 110 van at the dealer's showroom. Everything seems spot on with it, no oil leaks, all panel gaps okay, all doors and bonnet shut, no dents or scratches, body cappings fitted well too. Delivery is due next...

    Rust on bulkhead

When you've sorted the welding, don't fill it with 'Waxoyl', it's crap. Use this instead: Cavity Wax | Order Dynax S50 For High Protection Rust Proofing If you're in any doubt, ask Bilt Hamber about the University of Hertfordshire study that was undertaken last year into rust protecting waxes...

New 110 Van - DPF concerns

That's interesting, thanks, but... I'm intending to keep the 110 until I retire, in theory in 15 years time. It will only be doing about 6000 miles a year. I'll have to have it serviced to LR standards and using genuine parts for the first three to keep the warranty intact. I may also extend...

New 110 Van - DPF concerns

My dealer got back to me today (just as promised - I like this chap), and Land Rover Technical have told him that my expected use of the 110 will be similar to those that are used on the Land Rover Off Road Experience and do only around 3000 miles a year. They haven't had DPF problems, so they...

New 110 Van - DPF concerns

I've just found this article: 2012 Land Rover Defender review - What Car? This bit is of particular (pun intended) interest: "While many modern diesel particulate filters require the car to be run regularly at high speeds to prevent them from clogging, Land Rover's DPF has been designed to...

Thanks very much, will do. The dealer has just been back in touch to say he'll check with them when they re-open on January 2nd.

New 110 Van - DPF concerns

I've e-mailed the dealer asking them to confirm with Land Rover that the DPF will be okay with the type of use I make of my van. I'll be interested to see what they say. I don't mind taking the van for a decent drive periodically to keep it working okay, as long as it's not every week, given...
