I don't think the td5 has a lift pump , just electric..

The battery is tip top

All pipes and valves have been replaced , also new fuel line ..

Don't think so , once it's started it runs smooth ..

Fuel pump runs as it should , ecu been plugged in and no errors found ..

Hi , my dad's got a 110 td5 and has a staring problem the engine turns and tries to fire with blue smoke but fails , we have checked filters, pump sensors , wiring and are no further forward , a little spray of easy start and it's nearly there but every rough ...any ideas also checked the ecu ...

DMF replaced last year with new fluid .... so that's one or two eliminated .... 99 to go haha thanks for the reply...

on the plus side ive got another couple landy enthusiests and if the withdrawls kick in i can always borrow my dads

it was a friend that did the job and to be fair he does have a lot of experience with landrovers , the steering wheel is slightly out of alignment but i dont think its that , i remember my dad had a problem like this on an old series 2 but we managed to adjust the shimms ,was like a train after...

i kinda thought that it was a freelander but didnt want to offend anyone on my first post (that usually happens later ) i find it hard enough accepting my discovery as a landrover of sorts , im a 90 man at heart . it broke my heart when the wife said it was twins she was expecting haha

hi ive recently fitted a recon steering box and im experincing a little bit of free play from the wheels it seems to want to follow the camber of the road and i find myself having to correct the steering constantly , any advice ?
