I have checked dipstick holder, it looks ok? how do I know if it has dropped. does anyone have a photo of the view from above, or a measurement from engine to top of tube? Thanks

yes I have let the oil settle. not checked to see if the dipstick has dropped yet, but that's looking favourite.

Having just purchased a winch I am quite aware how easy they are to steal/remove. Are there any security devices that are recommended to secure these? I thought about tacking a couple of the bolts with weld?

I have just dropped the oil and filter on my 1991 90 2.5 turbo engine. There was only about 4 litres of oil that came out. When I refilled after the filter change, I only had to put 4 litres in. yet the manual states over 6 litres of oil? any ideas, does this sound right, or am I looking at...
