turned out to be faulty plugs earthing to the body, made by britpart. i bought some goodens and they work fine

And this should be a picture of how i have wired them. As they are, they will work but as soon as a glow plug is screwed in, it earths the circuit

im not sure about these parallels because as soon as i took the resistor out so they would glow.... i burnt them out not long after! I supppose its not a hard job to test them very now and again and replace one if its gone!

I have tried lightly touching throttle and also wide open, neither seem to change it. What do you do with yours when you start it?

My engine number reads 25299194j From this it tells me its a Series IIA petrol 2286cc with the lower compression ratio. But mines a 2.25 diesel. any input on why this doesnt match up would be greatly appreciated. Chris.

thanks for the engine numbers, im assuming no one would be silly enough to just bolt a turbo on without lowering engine compression, changing pistons (if needed) and fuel ratios etc etc. but then again, assuming things isnt good is it! Had a good luck over it these last couple of days and stuck...

cheers for the input. This landrover came off a lass from down stafford way but i never got the chance to speak to her about the history of this series. It sounds like it is acceptable to put turbos on them then? i wasnt sure if it was the done thing. i could imagine it could cause problems...
