I would not use tcut or any cutting compound if the lacquer is damaged as it WILL make it worse. If its on the roof and you cant see it don't worry about it ;) If its going to bother you that much tho...... I would prep it properly, paint it re-lacquer it and then if you want to go to...

100% some things i've never seen before. Is Kenya good? I wanted to go a few years ago but it never came to anything. I also want to go on a safari in South Africa but all money depending :(. By the way my wifi is crap and keeps cutting out :doh:

It's definitely an interesting job with positive and negatives same with most jobs. You get to see some interesting stuff down there at times with some very strange wild life. But working with the locals can be a tad annoying at times.....No all the time ;)

I'm offshore in Angola on nights bored:(. The disco is in the driveway and my dad gives it a blast every week for me. The seats are manual by the way. Didn't see the question.

The mrs said i should just change the centre console, steering wheel, and the dash 100% black then see if it that will keep me happy. So i'll soon see if that works out. Not home for another 5 weeks tho so i've got plenty of time to think about it.

I'm not 100% sure. Might be a standard thing but i like plain black leather or black and grey suede. I did however look at re-trimming the seats i have and door cards to a brown leather which would be old fashioned styled. You put up a photo of yours?

Don't know how long it'll take to find the one i'm after. Once i do find the interior i'm after ill drop you a PM tho ;) Just to let you know its only a 5 seater.

I think going by prices i'm going to bide my time for a set i really like rather than jumping into the first set i see. I'll keep an eye out for breakers and on ebay.

Good thread, and alot of work put into this by the looks of it. Must be pretty happy with it now? This is also makes me want to get a defender after only just buying a disco 2......

The colour is rank. Everything is fine comfort wise with the seats just want to change colour and probably cheaper changing it than to get a full re-trim etc....

Cheers for posting this. Since I don't have much experience with 4x4s i want to know these things for piece of mind before buying wheels and tyres.

New to Land Rover's. First ever 4x4 and its a Disco 2 and i've alot to learn :o Hate the interior that is in it just now and it needs changing. Is it just Disco 2 seats etc that will fit or is there any other seats that will fit, even with slight mods needed? Any advice welcome.

Amazing amount of work..... Definetly has made my nightshift pass quickly so far. Don't like how there won't be any more updates for a while tho haha.

I've never fitted wheels that have any offset difference to what the standard offset it so would 5 of an offset make a big difference? Any help much appreciated.

Thought this woul be the case.... Anyone be able to recommend where to get steel wheels with correct pcd fitment and offset?
