Morning all The winder on my '87 90 front drivers side window has stopped working. Heard a clunk then the winder was running freely and the glass just slipped down. I think the bit inside is called the regulator. Is it possible to fix this or will it require a new one! Thanks!

On mine, it is the power steering pipes that run along the front cross member. They run from the reservoir to the pump then back to the steering box. I have taken another look and can't see any leaks under the radiator so it must be the PS pipes but the reservoir hasn't dropped and it's not...

Afternoon All I have spotted a leak from my 2.5 petrol. It drips off the front cross member of the chassis (beneath the radiator). It doesn't look like coolant and the only other things in that area are the flow and return pipes for the power steering. However I don't seem to have lost any PS...

The barrel in the lock to the rear door of my 90 is broken and can therefore be opened with any key. Or a knife for that matter! Strictly, it is still locked!

I had a similar leak recently (3 months ago). I used Wynns PAS stop leak and it has worked so far. It took about 4 days to work fully so give it some time before you give in.

People do seem to like the 2.5 petrol despite lacklustre performance and economy. It is reassuring to know it is a good engine and not a lemon!

Sorry, one more thing. What MPG would you expect from a 200tdi in a 90? No point doing it for only a few more MPG! Oh, and yes I am in the LEZ at the moment which is a pain.

I just like the idea of keeping it 'original'. From the 2.5 I get about 18/19 mpg on a long run. The best I have ever had is 22 mpg. For lots of short trips I get 14/15 mpg. Has anyone else got a 2.5 petrol. Does that sound about right?
