I have a Discovery 300 tdi 3 dr, so the rear side windows ( boot ) are fixed solid in place, however when I do get it on the road, which I am currently re-doing the floor, I want to take my dogs in it. Now with a lot of media attention altely and correctly about dogs in cars with windows up etc...

either they were just defective ones ( which can happen ) or you may have propshaft bearings problems causing them to wear. Check the play in both front and rear prop bearings, if it very excessive then that will be causing them to wear so quickly.

you need to be a bit more specific, has your disco got sunroofs or not etc? 2nd hand is usually the cheapest although not always the best option, re trim is good, Land Rover them selves - not so good
