Driving home last night the defender started loosing power, this morning it refused to start, finally bumped it and it ran like a sack of ****! drove it 8 miles in to work and it was terrible! just been out to have a look started but still running like **** so i start the process of elimination...

Over 40 mph and semingly randomly my disco has started to get a really quite vicious shake that makes the whole car start to wobble about if i turn in to a bend it stops or if i let off and accelerate again it stops but it does seem to be getting more frequent! I've had a quick look underneath...

Just got home and noticed a puddle in the passenger footwell, seems to be coming out from behind the heater in the center console any ideas? i'm guessing a split hose on the heater matrix but i dont want to take it all apart if i don't have too!! any ideas?

I have to drive from cornwall to east sussex this weekend a total of 315 miles i've never done a long haul in the V8 and just wondered if anyone had any idea on average mpg. I know it will vary frome enging to engine but i'm just after a ball park figure so i can prepare for the fuel bill:D
