Occasionally there is a noise coming out of the passenger side very end, like plastics rubbing together. I tried tightening all screws in the glove compartment underneath but did not cure it. My impression is that it is coming out from the vent hole. This is where I hear it most. Any ideas?

Looking at the speedometer, rev counter etc, I see that the plastic cover of the instruments is a bit dirty, but I feel it is from the inside for some reason. Does anyone know if I can remove this and clean or is it fixed with the instruments?
