OK, I might be looking at a TD4 soon, probably around X reg. I already know how to check for VCU problems by driving in tight turns at low speeds and also about generally listening for clunks, drones and whines that might point at diffs / ird's. But what else should I look out for? I've tried...

Hi y'all, New to the forum.. Had a 300TDI Disco before (and loved every minute other than those spent at the diesle pumps!) but I'm now toying with the idea of getting a TD4 Freelander. It would be manual, around 2000 / 2001 and not bothered whether 3 or 5 door. Already done a bit of reading...
