    Loose flaps

When i bought my S2 they had practically no seal left so i would get a cold draft even when shut. I fitted new seals and found it hard to close them. Fitting new seals might remove any loose play.

Trashed s3 109 got me home. Now what?

Erm, with the handbrake on i would hope you couldn't turn any wheel...

Trashed s3 109 got me home. Now what?

Is there a clutch pedal return spring? Could it be missing or worn? The brake pedal on my 101 was reluctant to return until i fitted a new spring.

Clean the oil off. That might be several years worth of gunk.

    A curious issue

Other than replace the cable i have no other suggestions. Regarding your pic, has the sheep just landed or is it about to take off?

    Exhaust Fumes Rag Top

It's been a few years since i drove YFO but i can't say i ever remember sniffing exhaust fumes with the canvas on. I probably wouldn't have driven around with just the back flap open though. If it was hot weather i'd roll the sides up too so maybe that's why? If it was hot weather for a while...

Other what have u done on ur disco today

Well done you! When MY Disco 1 gearbox did the same thing i went online searching for another gearbox and bought a Disco 2 instead... :D

Other what have u done on ur disco today

Not a Disco but still all Landy, i changed the front shock absorbers on the 101. It now no longer goes BANG! over bumps in the road. Had to modify a threaded boss to allow me to compress the rubbers to remove and replace the split pin. You need a rather large clamp to squash the rubbers...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

I realise it's been a while since my last post but to put a full stop under this... After debating whether or not to go big bucks and get a genuine Lucas relay or a blue box 'replace it in another couple of years' job i sat back and thought about it. My thought was, all i need is a 20 amp or so...

Other what have u done on ur disco today

I won't touch them any more. I was at MM4x4 a couple of months ago for something. Dave brought it out in a blue box and i politely asked him to take it away and bring one back in a more expensive box! I finally learned my lesson after having a front wheel bearing fail the MOT for THREE...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

Riiiight... NOT happy. OK, a bit happy as in i now know where the relay is. NOT happy about where it is! I thought the fuse box was in a daft place, given that this went to war! But the designers REALLY put their heads together for this one! Oh, and you know that burk who was here earlier on...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

I'll see where the two wires on the starter solenoid go to. The clicking when i turn the key is definately 'up top', and not 'down below', unless 101s have a special component 'up top' just to go CLICK...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

Maybe, but the ONE thing this shed has done since i bought it, is start at the first turn of the key. Well, once i'd learned of the fuel filters and changed the one and installed the other. Funilly enought, it stopped conking out on the road too. I'll attach a pic of the filter from the...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

That's a good idea, and seeing as the WebM thingy has only just reached 44.6% conversion, this only took me a couple of minutes

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

My video clip issue wasn't phone related, it was a, 'downloaded onto my computer then isn't seen by the LZ uploading department pixies' issue. It was an MP4, then i converted it to MKV, now it's being converted into a WebM file. I won't lie, until i saw it as an option i don't think i'd heard of...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

I HAVE NEWS! First up, thank you all for your many suggestions as to what it may be! Just been trying to upload a short video of me starting the engine. Seems the clip from my phone is not 'supported'. I thought MKV and MP4 were common enough... Anyway... I disconnected the double thin wires...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

I would. :D It's not the battery. I KNEW it wasn't the battery as it had been starting on the key right up until i fitted the new clutch slave cylinder... BUT, just in case i removed it and put it on charge. The needle jumped to 2 amps for about ten minutes and then dropped off the bottom of...

My 101 won't start. Ignition key just gets a CLICK when turned.

I tried that earlier today. Held it for ten twice. Felt the battery terminals which were stone cold. Didn't crawl underneath to fondle the starter as i went out without my overalls on. All the wiring behind the dash was cold too. While leaning to the left looking at the wiring around the switch...
