    It's probably overkill, as the engine is extremely quiet no tappet noise or the dreaded liner tap, more to do with preventative maintenance. However I am at 122,000 miles. Since this car has been hidden away for a few years this is something that will be added into my to do list. Thanks...

    I'm an amature mechanic at best , how difficult is it to do the cam? I've purchased some land rover workshop manuals to try and teach myself, so I have a minor understanding.

    I have a 4.0 1999 P38 , I am looking into getting the engine tuned and was wondering is it worth waiting until I have changed the camshaft for a torque cam would it effect the tune?

    I believe standard are actually M12 heads as I had an M12 socket get stuck on the head of the bolts when it snapped . Obviously this is totally different if the exhaust was changed in the past and someone used different bolts. However M10 bolts did fit in my case. 100mm are far too long...

    Just measured it at 5-6 cm which translates to 50mm so they should be enough.

    My P38 is the Thor engine so I imagen a discovery 2 box could fit? And no I don't have a nano com just a icarsoft cr max Nano com is just slightly above what I can afford.

    P38A Mystery wiring? Cd changer?

    Hello there I opened the rear access panel for the back lights passenger side and found the plug in the image below and was wondering if it's for the cd changer? as mine is the non cd model. It's The white plug in the background and it has 4 wires entering it .
