Google the defender water ingress manual and that will give you ideas of where to look. Don't be tempted to seal down the floor panels with silicone or anything silly like that. Water will be coming from above and all you'll do is stop the water being able to get out

What did you do in the end? I don't know where in Aberdeenshire you are but I live in the city, you're more than welcome to come have a look at mine I can talk you through all the bits to check etc. Or if you need a hand with the maintenance, happy to help.

Totally agree. I wouldn't buy a land rover off anyone other than an enthusiast. They're the only people that put in the time and they effort. Problem is they rarely sell.

To have failed that quickly and that much suggests either the spring has come off the seal or, as said, the surface is ****ed. Maybe try a better seal... I wouldn't trust bear mach with such things

@adrian hogg as already said save time and just get them from ashcroft. They're excellent and any issues they'll send new ones out no qiuestions asked
