What have you done to your Landie today.

replaced the no longer available bearing in my tensioner pulley, and tested the charge circuit, seems my alternator didnt like the mud at buildwas. put the one i had on my shelf on it and will clean up and refurb the one that came off.

The Big Debate - Britpart or S**tpart?

theyre guarantee is the only reason my clutch is britpart at the moment. as i have a TDI and its a series clutch ive been through 2 plates cos the series pressure plate doesent clamp hard enough for the power unless you get H/D

T-Cut has a bad rep...but it does have its uses!

when i t cutted Brian some time last year, the paint went epic shiny (absolutely no orange peel), with a DA polisher. it stayed epic shiny up till the point i wrote him off now he is resprayed and waiting for another go with the polisher just to fine tune the paint work. very little orange peel...

    Series 3 rebuild

one of mine had a fibreglass kit on it (from back when the 110 and then 90 came out) was sold as a "make your series look nice and new" thing. it came straight off, but i doubt itd sell, as the slam panel is only good for series, might be able to sell the bonnet though.

Best speed to drive on motorway?

wow 2 tons. im surprised the wings could stand anything near like that. it probably explains the fact that the windscreen feels like it wants to fold itself in at about 100

tensioner pulley needed urgently. or even a part number might help

theyre different. the clamp fitting instead of the through bolt fitting i needed. i just ordered a bearing from my local bearing specialists and it should be at home now. i am however at uni so ill have to wait till the weekend.

Best speed to drive on motorway?

on the autobahn got to 103 in it when it had the 235/70's on. it wasnt that scary to be honest but i wont be doing it too often. :) i like to stick to under 80 else the wind gets a bit noisy.
