    Rusty wheel nuts & studs

Ok this might sound a bit silly to some but here we go anyway. I would like to stop the new steel wheel nuts and extended studs rusting, what can I spray on them to help keep the orange stuff at bay. I am hoping someone will say WD40 dry PTFE spray as I have loads of that!

Disco 2 Wiring loom mess on steering column

Follow the wires to the other end and see what they should attach to on the steering wheel. Edit: They are purple with a black trace.

    Wolfs with drum brakes.

Fitted the longer studs to the rear today. Hoped to do it without having to take the hub off but that didn't work, bet the hub seals start leaking now!

    Defender fuel pump issue

Just because the ecu was fine doesn't mean it is now, does it? Hopefully some of the checks will show up the problem.

    Defender fuel pump issue

Have you tried to reset the fuel cut off button under the bonnet? No glow plug light is sometimes a result of a faulty ecu. Quite a few thread on here which might be useful if you take a look.

    300tdi not starting

Doing this will rule out electrical fault on the vehicle. To stop the vehicle you will need to pull the wire off manually.

    300tdi not starting

Yes but do you have fuel getting to the relevant places? Checked the cambelt?

Fitting New Distributor Did Not Go Well

I don't understand the reluctance to mention suppliers names, if we did it more often they might (doubt it) stop selling poor quality parts. SimonBBC was always good for ignition parts when we had the 2a.

Hello from the Alps (anyone know a land rover mechanic in the southern Alps?

It's a crap job which takes too much time that's why they don't want to do it. Stamp the chassis, are they allowed to do that?

    Locking wheel nut adapter missing

It looks pretty knackered anyway, I wouldn't risk using them again even if I had the socket to remove it.

Coarse vs Fine thread bolts on the front calipers.

I just tighten them up and no thread lock if it has a spring washer. I didn't use a torque setting.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Wolfs would look fine with standard offset, the ones I fitted are zero offset. If you buy the cheaper ones paint them first would be my advice.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

This my only experience with them, maybe the more expensive ones have better paint. If you are looking for some wheels and tyres my son has 4 Freestyle alloys a BFG MTs with plenty tread for sale, give me a shout if you're interested.
