    Empire D2 downpipe

After eventually fitting the downpipe I can report back that it's a poor fit. The downpipe is the one with the dummy cat on it and it is literally 2mm away from the chassis and that 2mm took some work. I have a feeling it won't be long that it's knocking on the chassis. I guess I could take it...

    Rusty wheel nuts & studs

Strangely I have heard of the World Wide Web. If we had a couple of grand to buy expensive wheels then that would be a consideration, maybe. We don't, so it's going to be a spray, paint or grease of some sort. Since I have a can of PTFE spray which I doubt will ever get used up otherwise then I...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

I will have to replace the studs on the downpipe top fixings yet. When I do that I shall have a but more off a faff around lining it all up. It has a dummy cat on it, if that was a slightly different shape then it would be a nice fit.

Disco 1 Discovery Body is leaning on the right

The most likely issue is the springs I would have thought. Measure to check the ride height using the chassis rather than body to check. If that is all level then if the body is rubber mounted check them.

    Rusty wheel nuts & studs

Nonsense, the nuts are steel obviously, just like the studs as supplied by Land Rover. The 2a had the original double ended wheel nuts, while surface rust would appear they never needed replacing. I must have lived a sheltered life as I have never come across a car manufactured with stainless...

    Rusty wheel nuts & studs

I have put longer studs on the rear so the plastic caps won't fit anymore as the studs are now too long.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Got some gas bottles on the exhaust down pipe nuts, all three are off but wound out two of the studs, not to worry shall buy some new ones, when I've saved up! Fitted a downpipe from Empire, looks quite well made, shame it doesnt fit a bit better, it's literally a couple of mm from the chassis...

Did I mention cheap, if I didn't maybe I should have. Can you get black stainless steel?

Sorry I meant the excess stud sticking out, I dont like putting anything on the stud where the nut contacts it.

    Td5 turbo to downpipe studs

Thanks. M10 x 1.5 haven't measured the length yet. Saw some nice titanium ones, out of stock though. Land Rover want getting on for £20 each! Thought that was a bit pricey.

    Td5 turbo to downpipe studs

Does anyone do a kit at a sensible price Wurth or something? While we're at it does anyone know the size of the stud?

Good suggestions, I am going to use dry PTFE spray since I have it and see how it goes.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Same I think. Does it have a dummy cat on it?

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Attempted to take the down pipe of my TD5, bloody hell the nuts were tight! Map gas didn't help much so I thought better of it and gave up. Cut the hedge instead.
