Just drove my new toy home. 200 miles in the rain, at night in a 42 year old Landy, M4 & M25 were quite frankly frightening.

I made it home in the series but i need a drink to settle the nerves.

Would lifting the body make any odds to the props?

TBH if its thin enough to break with a hammer then it should be done. You could be pulling 3.5T on a tow bar attached to it.

I don't know if Pressbrake could help (south Essex) Matthew2Riches also does welding (Suffolk). Or maybe buy a mig and get practicing on some scrap. Good luck with it.

Most autos are edc (fly by wire) from 96 97 (I'm not sure on the dates). Easiest way to check would if it has a MAF installed between the turbo and airbox. Photo shown on this page: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/maf-sensor-163871.html Cheers

Pita mine did it all the time. Bloody dangerous at T juncitions. A friends is also now doing it, so if you suss it please post solution. My local garage never Sussex it. In the end I disabled the system so at least I knew what would happen when I braked.

Yeah that's them. I've been left with several. I've spliced a few of them now. Soft tested, but not used in angry yet.....

I've got a load of ropes from a group purchase that didnt work out. I have made up a few bridals myself, but obviously not rated! if you wanted to buy a couple of ropes and have a go at splicing them yourself, its pretty easy (see youtube). Or I could do it, but no guarantees on breaking strains!

I know this is an old thread. But I'm struggling with the breathers on a 300tdi Auto (tbox and gbox). I am thinking about just using an inline connector and extending from the existing breather. Any reason why not?
