Thanks again lads got the Alternator recon'd for 70 quid. I was gona go with a new one but they're a fortune! Anyway the car has never run this well since I've owned it. So smooth and fuel consumption has come down, result!!! Next up is a gearbox service then mibe an exhaust system. Cheers lads

I thought that tae. I've done a fair bit of reading and testing but the BECM seems to be going to sleep but there is still 2 amps goin somewhere! Doin my large head in! Is there a way of testing the alternator? Also has anyone else heard about an alternator harness upgrade on the 4.6...

Marty Uk, thanks very much for your help. I ordered two from DLS on ebay. She runs sweet as a nut now. Now have a 2-3 amp load draining the battery when the car is locked! It never ends with this big couch! Thanks again

I'm new on here so appologise in advance if this has been covered to death but i am struggling a bit with this. I have a GEMS 4.6 1997 with a VIN that has VA359xxx. As I understood it the GEMS uses the Titania sensors and the THOR uses the Zirconia. The problem I have is when I quote my VIN...
