I've ordered some JB weld. Will this sort it? Will it affect the seal around it?

Datatek, I was going to do a video on timing the FIP. Is it okay for me to show your method of timing if I credit you?

It was off just recently when I removed the FIP so it should be relatively loose. I didn't think to copper slip it though so I'll do that this time... weather permitting. Any advice on a cracked radiator pipe where the hose attaches? It's a hairline cracked caused by, what I believe is, someone...

Will it not mark or damage the radiator grill pressing it against it. I'd also worry about the wood vibrating lose.

Ha ha. I'm reluctant to do so as it's a right pain in the backside to put back on again. As it happens I've got a hairline crack running along the plastic outlet pipe on the radiator. What's the best remedy for this. Araldite?

I waited for it to get up to 95C but the bugger wouldn't. Bit of a wind up today.

Incidentally, you were right, Datatek. It was No 5 injector leak off pipes leaking. I've got some braided hose spare.

Thought it would be super sensitive, 😄. I'll move it a good 4-6 16th next time.

First measurment above was at 12/16 of an inch & that was 86.57% modulation at 94⁰c Second I knocked it to 10/16 of an inch and that only drew it down to 83.84% - 81.89% modulation at 93⁰c I don't know if the pump will even rotate enough to get it down to 50% but I'll see.

Cheers, Datatek. I've already got a copy from you thanks. I've got to put some masking tape on my steel ruler with 16th of an inch increments as it only has 16ths on the first three inches of the ruler.

I'm in luck as it's the 5th injector. I replaced the leak off pipes a year or so back but I'll check them again.

Incidentally, Mark. Would you know what special size socket I'd need to remove the injectors? I'm not sure if it could be a lose olive, leak off pipe or copper washer, but their's a trail of diesel down the side of the engine that drips on the ground. I'll double check when getting the engine...

Right I'd say she's way off at 86.57% modulation at 94.40⁰c. So from this can we extrapolate which direction the pump should be rotated?

As it happens I went ahead without the nanocom & loosened the mid 4 FIP bolts and tapped the actuator forwards with a hammer & it's running sweet as a nut now (aren't hammers just the best thing ever 😄 🤣 😂). I'll get some readings tomorrow. It's idling at around 850rpm but I'm happy...
