Can't really blame it for shutting down then ;)

Fuel problem ... please help ... urgent

Its not clear from your post whether you're using any heating for the fuel system - my guess would be that the sudden drop in temp over recent days may have caused your wvo to gel or solidify.

    disco td5 turbo

The only real way to tell if a turbo is working efficiently is to measure boost pressure. You could do this at the inlet manifold or directly at the turbo outlet, if you measure at the manifold the reading will probably be slightly lower to account for pressure drop across the intercooler and...

Discovery Rust - Boot, Sills and Wings

HIDs never really look right in reflector headlamps imo, I've got some HID bulbs/ballasts that I want to put on my 300 but I want to fit projector lamps first - maybe from a range rover l322...they seem to all be xenon/HID and look more or less the right shape/size to fit.

Is there much diffirence in power between the 2.5 and 300TDi

Number of seconds it takes to get to 60 :)

    Nooooooooo

Bearing sets for the 200/300 Tdi can be bought for peanuts from Island 4x4/Paddock Spares etc - if you're handy with a spanner might be worth a look. I would personally drop the sump and see what state the current bearings/crank is in. Ben

    Terrafirma 8" HID SpotLamps

HID bulbs are only expensive from franchised dealers, elsewhere and online they're not too badly priced.

Discovery Rust - Boot, Sills and Wings

Are you sponsored by Terrafirma? :) Being serious for a minute though excellent work, definitely planning to keep an eye on the thread and watch your disco come together.

    optional Extras from factory

My 1995 ES 'did' have full beige leather, electrically adjustable heated front seats, 4x electric windows, 2x electric sunroof, factory fitted running boards, air con, colour coded wheels. Not much of the electric stuff worked properly by the time I got my grubby mits on it :)

    Bodylift

With a body lift no, with a suspenison lift then yes you will probably start wearing out drivetrain components.

    Bodylift

I don't think a body lift will have an impact on the suspension geometry.

    300tdi boot floor

The crossmembers on mine could be saved, the thinner 'straps' were completely rotten. Through so I replaced with 2 pieces of rectangular box, they were supplied by a local steel company for £10 all in. I plug welded the floor on to them from above very much like the standard fitting. Ben

Best place to get a de cat pipe for 1996 300 tdi

Didn't think the 300 Tdi had a cat? The thing that came off mine certainly didn't look like one.

    30mm wheel spacers

Another option is negative offset wheels from Garage & 4x4, just got a set of 8x16 mods with -35mm offset! Fill out my 50mm arch extensions nicely with no need for spacers. They cost £200 delivered for 4.
