Not a bad idea. I have two upstairs windows open and all the downstairs ones shut and a fan going in the living room. It's 10 degrees hotter outside than it is in.

You do need a specific Loctite for the splines on the shaft. Can't remember which one but it's in Rave.

Mine was exactly the same. As Brian said, seal on the half shaft. They're cheap and it's an easy job to do.

Just reminded me, I need to buy some hypo to clean off the oil the P38 dropped when it was sat for 6 months.
