    Electric seats

That's how mine are, it was much easier to earth that wire than run it to the drivers door switch. Not interested in having them work when you open the door personally. That's a shame, the switches seem like a real pain. Just seen the pics, very little but from what I can see they look...

    Electric seats

If I'd had this a week ago, it would have saved hours of head scratching!

Improving 300tdi mpg (the obvious and less obvious stuff!)

    Very interesting read, thanks :)

    Electric seats

Saves you wearing the switches out I guess! I've still got to get myself a new centre console with holes for the switches - I'm moving over to a beige one as I think it will fit in nicely with the door cards. Don't seem to be many about as it would need to be a manual with beige/cream...

    Electric seats

I was trying to work this out the other day with the man who was wiring mine in. We could only think it was to do with being able to move the drivers seat as you open the door without putting the keys in (if someone really short last drove it and you can't shoehorn your backside into their...

    Electric seats

Just fitted electric seats in mine. If you don't have the switches and loom then apparently it's a pain. If you do have all the wiring and switches, then mine is powered by the accessory relay under the passenger side footwell trim on the left. To tell if you have the wiring - look under the...

    Fitting electric seats

Right, they're working!!! I buckled and called up my Landy man. I went up there this evening and he has wired the main power wire into the accessory relay, so the power is only on when the key is turned. Both seats now work in all directions :D I also cleaned them up - bought a product...

    Fitting electric seats

Thanks again for your help! For powering the actual motors, I see someone on here had hooked them up to the power supply for the rear electric windows - is that something I could do? It would be very easy if that is ok? Alternatively I found somewhere someone was wiring them to pin 87 of...

    Fitting electric seats

They're in! I wired them direct to the battery, to get them in a sensible position. I need to sort them permanently. I'm not decided on where to take power from. I'd happily tap into the cigarette lighter feed but I assume the seats probably take more power than that can supply?

    Fitting electric seats

Sounds good to me, hopefully it'll be nice and simple.

    Spot lights

In my opinion, 2 lights on the front is just right. Discool, I like those headlight guards! Been looking for them on eBay. I have taken a fair bit of inspiration from your car when I've seen your avatar in certain posts on here (hence my a-bar!)

    Fitting electric seats

Anyone know where I should take power for the seats from if I can't plug into the main loom? Thanks :)

    Fitting electric seats

That's a good help, thanks. I would take the centre console, however it's the beige colour (the seats I've bought are cream) whereas my interior is grey. I'm hoping the cream seats will sit nicely inside my otherwise grey interior. I am getting the door cards with the seats so may change...

    Fitting electric seats

Hi all, Let me start by saying that I have found this thread http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/electric-seats-58000.html and I have tried my best to find info, but I still have a few questions... I have bought some electric leather seats which include the switches and loom, I will be...

    Spec... High or low?

Fantastic news! Get some more pics up when you can! Nice colour too. Enjoy it :D Also, is that a Ferrari air freshener?! The previous owner was obviously deluded :p

    Spec... High or low?

:D love it! You're right about the AC - mine doesn't work, pump isn't seized but it won't come on. I got a bargain aircon service and regas through groupon which I've booked in for next week, somehow I don't see it working though.

    Spec... High or low?

As said, it depends what you want. If the toys are important to you, then get a top spec one. Sunroofs are likely to leak, but if you get a decent car and look after the sunroofs you shouldn't have to worry too much. I think they're nice to have and make the interior a lot brighter...

    My new dixie horn

That does surprise me, I assumed the USA would be absolutely fine with it. Although I've got an image of me getting pulled over by boss hog now! :D LOVE IT!!!

    My new dixie horn

Finally, I've got it sorted! http://vid1139.photobucket.com/albums/n556/jbenekeorr/Mobile%20Uploads/trimECF63C78-7508-485D-82BE-20585F7DBC15_zpsa329693a.mp4 The seller sent another compressor which was wrong again! Then after several eBay messages they asked 'have you fitted it correctly'...

    The Land Rover Wave

I seem to get more waves since I fitted my a-bar, people perhaps realise you're more of an enthusiast. I guess most D2's are still used as a regular car by people who don't necessarily have an interest, whereas D1's and defenders are more likely to be driven by someone who's into it :D I...
