    Flat Paint?

A machine polisher should sort the paint out, providing it can still be saved. You're looking at about £100 to buy a DA polisher, so may be worth finding a mate with one or just paying someone to do it if you don't want the investment. I've got one and it's paid for itself several times...

Arm Rest Lid - Discovery 1 300TDI (Beige)

Hi all, Selling a Beige arm rest lid (with hinge) for Disco 1. I bought this at the LRO show for my cream/beige interior swap, but never needed it. £7 Collection from near Jct 20 M1 (Leicestershire). Can post at buyer's expense.

Centre Console Discovery 1 300TDI (Grey)

Hi all, Selling my grey centre console for Disco 1 300TDI manual. Removed from my Disco in cream interior swap. The picture makes it look grubby - it isn't really! I can include the cover for the electric window switch panel too if required. £15 Collection from near M1 Jct 20...

    Rare buy

A good point! I'm interested to know what upgrades it has, other than a stonking great engine!

    Rare buy

Wow, I've never heard of an overfinch Discovery. I'd love to have a go! Although I'm not sure how a big old bus with a Chevy 5.0 in would handle :D

    My first Discovery 1

Looks like you've done well there, looks like it's got a black eye from the crash :D That is an early Discovery 2 headlight (they are just the same, only with black inners. I painted mine to look like that. Once you've got it straightened out, it sounds like you've got a gooden!

    Can't get sedimenter off

I've not got any pipe etc to bypass it with, and I already have new seals for it. But I think maybe I'll bypass it when the weather is nicer. Sounds like it won't have any adverse effects if removed then

    Can't get sedimenter off

That would explain it. Most of my metric spanners are embedded in the underneath of my disco anyway after my hissy fit yesterday. I'll try a 5/8, thanks!!

    Can't get sedimenter off

Hi all, I can't get the sedimenter off my disco to clean it. I've located the bolt, it just seems to slip when I put my 11mm spanner on it, and the 10mm doesn't fit. Have I got the right size? If so, what are my other options? I got very dirty and very angry.

What should a Disco 2 smell like?

Does the disco 2 have a cabin filter? If so, would be worth changing it just in case. My first car had a very stale/doggy smell inside which turned out to be the cabin filter. I tried spraying the filter with all the air fresheners in the cupboard for a quick fix. That just made it smell like a...

My Disco Progress - Pic Heavy!

You lot are making me blush :D I've started on some DIY sound deadening (flash strip and camping mats) around speakers and wheel arches etc. I'll update when that is done.

My Disco Progress - Pic Heavy!

I don't think it was too bad on mine. He reckoned there was a little bit of play in the bits you would expect but not enough to worry about and not enough to be causing considerable backlash. There did seem to be a bit more play in the CV's so we are going to replace them and see what...

My Disco Progress - Pic Heavy!

Little update - Got some headlight guards fitted over the weekend. I've been trying to track them down on eBay for a while - I ended up buying the two separately. One was brand new (seller buys discontinued stock) and to my surprised they included an original fitting kit with it for both...

    Water on the boot cover!!

I have had this on my Disco 1. Posted up on a discovery fb page and the general feeling was the boot door seal. I would imagine it could be the same for you. I haven't sorted it out yet but apparently you can just adjust the door upwards by getting someone to hold it up whilst you do the...

    Headlamp Guards

I've bought some off ebay. The right one is brand new with fixings £20 and the left one is used, I think it has some fixings and was £30 :wtf:

    Headlamp Guards

Fantastic, that's exactly what I was wanting. Not too complex then!

    Headlamp Guards

Hi all, Does anyone know (or have any pictures of) how the standard Discovery 1 headlamp guards are fixed on? I would like to buy some, but they never seem to have any brackets shown. If anyone has some for sale - let me know!

    Project Rusty.

I love the attitude you have towards this project - saving a poor old disco from the scrapyard and adding a touch of customisation to the interior. It must be so rewarding. I wouldn't dare tackle all the melted electrics! Liking the beige and chocolate theme - it works nicely. Much better...

    Dorothy Disco

Looks awesome! Love the yellow. I'd love a set of those front light guards. Anywhere in particular to get them? I've seen the odd set on eBay from time to time but they seem to get expensive.
