An update for anyone interested. I took the links off and went for a drive. The noise completely vanished so now I’m in for but g two new links. Any recommendations? I dont know whether to go with Lemforder, Meyle or Delphi.

I also had both front wheels off the ground when I changed the anti roll bar bushes yesterday. I guy on YouTube had his car on a ramp but it made more sense to me to have the pressure off the bar.

You learn something g new every day. I was very nervous about trying this but I obviously shouldn’t be. Thank you. If I renew the drop links again it will be the 4th pair I’ve replaced and I haven’t owned this Freelander more than 17ish months.

I was thinking of looking at the top suspension minting but wasn’t 100% sure how to get to it on the passengers side as loads in the way. I’ll have a look thank you.

An AGM battery is a good idea. I do carry a battery with me but had heard about making it a bit more permanent and also saw an advert for an auxiliary battery tray for a D2 and got wondering. I already carry a NOCO GB40 which is a great bit of kit in case the battery fails on me.

Has anyone fitted/ is it possible to fit an auxiliary battery in the engine bay of a Mk1 pre-facelift (53 reg) Td4? I want a second battery for radio equipment and as a backup jump starter but I would weather keep it out of the boot. Any advice tips links and pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have broke nearly every one I have tried to take apart. I should look for a source of new ones really. That way I could brake away without fear of not being able to put back together again.

I saw on a you tube video someone discussing the possibility of removing the sill finisher as it was a rust trap. Can anyone tell me if the sill finisher serves a purpose more that aesthetics and also has anyone had any experience with removing it and also is it worth doing? Thank you in advance.
