Lol, just worked out the mileage, shame, it's almost a 600 mile trip .... oh well, back to the drawing board.

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

What a shame, you are missing out on so many good things in life as sensitivity helps you to apreciate so many of the "arts." :) Just my humble opinion, but one which is voiced by many great people and thinkers alike. Nope it didn't, and as my philosophy dictates, everyone is entitled to their...

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

Well, whether I am "rather sensitive" or not I have no idea, but by comparison, I have found a 5ltr (not a measly 1ltr) tub of oil on Ebay and the postage is £5.95 ... okay, that's Ebay I hear you say. Sooooo, I have ordered a 5ltr tub from LRDirect and the carriage charge? ... £4.50 So, Dave...

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

As forrrrrr my Scottish accent, it doesn't rrrrrrrreally come acrrrrrrrrross in an email verrrrrry much and most English people know I am Scottish, howeverrrrr a grrrrreat many Scots think I am English because I was brrrrrrrrought up to speak prrrrrrrrrroperrrrrrrly and I also spent a...

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

This was my first ever dealings with the company (and probably my last.) Ok maybe I have come across as spitting my dummy oot etc., but I just cannot for the life of me justify being called rude by a total stranger, unless I had actually been rude, of course. Then again, a couple of litres of...

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

I disagree James, shipping charges to the far north can be horrendous, even worse to the island etc., but I'm only just in the highlands, Perth is the gateway, I'm 50 miles north of Edinburgh, and every major carrier company has a depot within 15 or 16 miles from me ... I know, I used to drive...

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

Yes, I could have been a little more tactful, but I was in a state of shock. The delivery charge was almost four times the price of 1 ltr of oil! :jaw:

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

Ok so maybe tact and diplomacy aren't my strongest points, but I fail to see where I was rude! When you live only 16 miles from a major city in the central belt of Scotland, you cannot help but feel you are being ripped off when people try to charge £35 to post two litres of oil to you...

Ashcrofts reply to my query about their carriage charges ...

I just had to post this. I have recently mentioned that I was gonna replace my diffs and I've browsed Ashcrofts website a good few times after a few good reports and recommendations from lads on here. Anyway, earlier today I saw someone mention their Revolution 1 oil and I thought I'd give...

Finally making a start on my camper conversion

Hi Grib, thanks for your comments. No I specifically wanted it inside to protect it from adverse weather but more to protect neighbouring campers should I have it running because I can shut the landy doors if need be (with me on the outside of course!) The genny will never be used if I am...

Finally making a start on my camper conversion

Finally, back to work... Had a lovely week-end wandering around but came home to reality in time to find my man hadn't made my flanges for the exhaust yet. I wasn't well pleased and in the end decided to fanny something up myself. So to simplify things I abandoned the origonal idea and just...

    Defender angle eyes

It's funny you should say that because, I tend to live my life with the attitude that I don't give two hoots about what other people think of me. I know the truth, so do my family and close friends. The rest are just judging the "book by it's cover." OK, some may think it looks gay, so...

I didn't realise that inanimate objects had sexual preferences, but yeah, they're gay looking, but I still like 'em.

I have strips of led's which will match the angel eyes and they will be fixed around the sidelights then re-wired for all led's or all normal bulbs

    Defender angle eyes

The sign is actually my number plate, which by law has to be on the first vertical surface facing forward and it had to be moved from the winch bumper and there has been no overheating issues during the past year or so......yet.
