    Jammed Flywheel

That's what I was afraid of. I don't have the facilities to split them at home. I'll try and fish out the broken bit first - maybe it's stayed in one piece - else otherwise it'll have to go off to the garage.

Thanks, they used to be, before we got our hands on them :) They're both now thoroughly well-used, filthy as heck, and the Disco in particular looks like its gone a few rounds with a Rhino.

    Series IIA 88inch Driveablility

I own a 1969 Series IIa and up to a short while ago used it almost daily. 1. They leak - through the roof, floor, bulkhead, and windscreen. 2. The heater doesn't - I'm firmly convinced that the heater is only there to extract any available heat from the cab and inject it into the engine...

    Disco service in Scotland?

There's Lix Toll over in Killin, or Kilmartin Garage. I've not used either of them myself but I have heard good things of both.

    Greetings from the Frozen North...

Hiya folks! Just signed-up and thought I'd say hello from Kintyre, on the west coast of Scotland. I've got two Landrovers: a 1969 Series IIa/III mish-mash, and a 1991 Discovery V8i with gas-conversion. Out here in the wilds of Scotland the roads tend to eat ordinary cars. Cheers Gary
